Here is the rest of the embroidery.
My girl Jane shows her heart in her face, and it is a good heart.
Think of my daughter's friend Emma when you see the burgandy bit beside the sunshine. She had a little dress out of that which her talented auntie had made for her. It has always been a favourite of mine.
And we're down to wee, pint-sized scraps for the cherry bits. Those cherries always make people cheery.
There is my sweet Jane again. Two pairs of her pants, happily married into pockets.
It doesn't show tremendously well on the photo, but the side panels are made of a deep red upholstery fabric which has circles embedded into its pattern. The body is made up of a sturdy denim fabric, thanks to a coworker of my sweetness, Brian. The swirly bits on the bottom of the flap came from an old housedress that totally would have fit into the movie "Hairspray". What? You haven't seen it?! We must have watched it fifty times over the Christmas break, and it made my throat tight every time. AND, I have the same clock as John Travolta-turned-large-scale-housewife.

(The things I type at 5:00 am.... goodness...)
Who will start us off today? What could be more appropriate than a sunshine bag, on a day when the sun will actually SHINE?! (we've had an extremely long, cold winter, followed by a painfully slow spring, here in friendly Manitoba) But with this bag on your shoulder, the sun will always shine. (want some crackers with that cheese?)
You know the drill. $25.00 is the bottom line. I need a name- pseudo or real, and I need a number. The number has to be real or I'll hunt you down and steal all your rhubarb, and in August I'll be back for the zucchini.
We'll shut this party down at 6:00 pm, central standard time.
ready? set? GO!

I'm just here to watch now, and to say 'Thank You, Joyce' for the special delivery of the special bag.
It was really meant to live here.
Good luck to all bidders!

My daughter insists on checking out the bag of the day before she leaves for school. We are having a lot of fun! She is going to be so excited when we actually 'win' a bag. We are never at home at the 6:00 cut-off so maybe we'll luck out on a weekend.
I'm in BC - so I am afraid there will not be an in-person meeting for us! Unless, of course, you would like to hand-deliver a bag to Salt Spring Island...
SALT SPRING ISLAND!?!
That was one of our honeymoon stops. we hitchhiked to our B&B, and shopped in those big, outdoor, artistic markets.
hmmmmm..... wish I could hand deliver.
