Confident

Funny. The interior pockets are formed out of a top whose label is "Anxiety". Who would buy that for their kid? Don't they get enough of that without the $14.98 version from Bluenotes?!

I am confident that this bag will ease the anxiety of you and yours. Hah. Well, I had to try.
She's awfully nice. That fancy aristocratic stuff goes fabulously with some fuzzy golden brown stuff from the Niv thrift, and a re-purposed table runner which forms her bottom. (not rump, for any of you who followed yesterday's comment chit chat).

Then there's those buttons. It is no small thing that I am releasing them out into the world. These are hoarded treasures, you know. Okay, so we've started insulating the walls with the overflow... but still.
Go on and trump someone's rump and give this bag a home. I'm confident you've got what it takes. (as long as your cheque is good....)

Newbies? Anyone can bid. All you have to do is click "comments"; leave your mark and dollar amount, then follow throughout the day if you want to make sure the bag comes to you. At 8 pm cst, whoever leaves the highest bid before and not after 8:00 will e-mail me at re-joyce@mts.net for shipping info.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
For now.

*don't forget about the Winnipeg Walk For Darfur, this Sunday, Oct 5.

She says that so confidently.... :) forgetting about that mysterious anonymous bidder who is waiting ever-so-sneaky like...

Absolutely amazing the magic you create from snippets & odds & ends & multi-hued bits. Your artistic ability grows greater with each lovely Darfur creation. Well done!

joyce said...

hey thanks! Don't forget that credit must be given to people with excellent eyes for those hues and bits. And for their generosity in passing those bits along to me.

J- I would like to say that in a year, the crisis in Darfur will be over and there will be no walk. But I wasn't born yesterday. I'm thinking there will almost certainly be another walk.

Tanya- its always about my rear. You seem so surprised..... :)

I bid $85.00 on behalf of Brian's mom.

lovely bag
nancy or anonymous

joyce said...

...like "my Brian's" mom? As in... my mother-in-law? we're sitting here adding up all the Brians that we know...

There seem to be an awful lot of people by the name of "anonymous" as well. So Nancy- are you Nance Pance? Or are you "anonymous the heckler of roberta"? or are you "anonymous the last minute swiper"? Or "anonymous of the multi-coloured hues"?

Anyhoo, Brian's mom... You've got yourself a bag! (in addition to the bag of a daughter-in-law you got)

Anonymous said...

Yes, your Brian's mom. Just add it to the growing pile on your door knob.

Sneaky couldn't sqeek in with the last bid because she didn't check her schedule to see that her daughter had ballet from 6.30 til 8.15pm. Next time I get alittle sassy I'm gonna check the calender. So glad you returned Roberta.
