You asked for it... You got it. Affordability in these crazy times.
Now, I know that last week I started the bids at $10.00 and that was fun and all. But.... this fabric came all the way from Burundi, so I just can't do that. It seems all wrong somehow. So, we're going to have to start this one off at a great big whopping $20.00.
(*GASP*)
It seems fitting, what with St Valentine's Day just around the corner, and all.
Just try to envision what a lot of treats and goodies you could stuff into that big bag of lovin'.
I cut the pieces to include any words that could be found on it. I don't know what they mean; and I noticed that the piece along the shoulder strap includes "Tanzania" so I looked up in Wikipedia what I could find out about Burundi's geography.

(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
The Republic of Burundi is a small country in the Great Lakes region of Eastern Africa bordered by Rwanda to the north, Tanzania to the south and east, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west.

Grandma Grace- thank you for coming by and leaving a note. That's sweet of you. I've seen some of your work as well, and it's loverly.
gopher- there will be more....
i'm very very sad that I missed tightwad tuesday again.
I got excited for a minute when I opened your blog thinking it was tuesday-what day is it anyway?
Should we keep the auction going? Looks like it could raise a few more dollars. I don't mind as long as others are game!
nope... Tuesday is over. It is, in fact... Wednesday. i did in fact have a bag very nearly finished. I stayed up way too late last night and needed all my needles just to prop my eyeballs open this morning, so the next bag is tomorrow morning. That THURSDAY in case you are all as baffled as I am. Days off of school due to rain in February in Manitoba will do that to a girl.
