EEEEEEEEeeewwwwww

Definately zero, zilch, nada bags today.
We're having a mini crisis here on the Hindenberg, and throwing a match at the place has crossed my mind a half million times or more. Except that it would have to include my children and their heads and the little parasite bastard lice that have taken up residence there.

If you do not have children of your own, and if you have never had the pleasure of dealing with this nightmare, then I am here to enlighten you.

We are not dirty, or slothful, or frightening. Any bags that have been in this house are not colonized.

And guess what?

It could happen to you!

mwah, ha, ha. I wish it were halloween, because then this nightmare would seem more appropriate.

Oh Joyce,
I wish I was closer... I'd come and nit pick!
I am so sorry...
It is cold enough to bag and garage a large number of things...
could be the beginning of an exciting purge!
and you know what you get to do after a purge... a lovely big bag sale or someting similar!
so, really, this could be a good thing!

yes...in my otherly-functioning mind, this idea has crossed my neurons.

We're trying a new product called resultz. And olive oil at night with a sunlight soap morning rinse. We'll see...

Been there, done that! And it is definitely not fun!!!!!!!! Dip the comb in rubbing alcohol as you nit pick, it really helps to fry those little buggers! Good luck! MK

when our mini's came this year, they brought with them stow aways...ick?!?!?
tee tree oil shampoo is great too, keeps them off once you've done the treatment...

I feel for you Joyce. Must be a nightmare. Oh, and I'm spreading the rumour that you are dirty, nasty, blah, blah, blah - because I really believe that is the reason people get it. Smirk. So far Kai is clear, but I'll keep checking his little affro (spelling?) to make sure. See you soon.

okay-I can no longer be silent! As a harden veteran of the cooties-my only rescue came when a dear nearly stranger told me to use the blow dryer and even better, a hair straightener. Totally zaps those guys, and to top it off, makes them not nearly as cemented on to the hair. Tell Sam that if you straighten his hair he'll look like a rockstar-the kids loved it!Charlene, your fan from Mac.

I too have heard about the merits of the hair straightener...

So far my blondies (kids) are clear, Joyce. Thinking of you a lot. I say move to a hotel for 48hrs, it will save you a whole lot of cleaning and the kids will have more fun. Melissa

you r bringing me back to a time when i was in israel. our entire group got "it" and so i soon found myself at an arab pharmacy in the old city of jerusalem. grabbing the first container of lice shampoo i asked them, "how many heads does that size of container do?" they didn't understand my question so i bought EVERY container they had.

and we ended up eating pita and tomatoes the rest of that trip since i had cleaned out the food budget in my efforts to cleanse us from the infestation.

:)

i'm sorry you guys are going through that again. xo
