According to my records, we have raised $4,433.00 for the suffering people of Darfur.
May we labour in love & selflessness for the people of Darfur, & therefore for our planet !
I would like to share with you some words from a reader who I like to believe lays in orchards dreaming of ways to encourage others. I like to think of it as the Darfur Blessing. I like to think of it as a prayer. This blessing is a compilation of a gift of words and encouragement from a supporter, edited to serve as a prayer. This prayer reminds me that the project began as a desire to respect and respond to what I believed God was asking me to do for the orphaned and the widows, the hungry and the imprisoned, the cold and the naked.
May you lovingly recycle foraged fabrics with a passion, driven by a dedicated goal to save lives, may caring & inspiration spark zeal in many so they too can make a difference in the world! May your sewing machines hold fast & continue to produce beautiful bags under your artful hands. The people who purchase your bags will be like ripples in the pond of life, spreading your message far & wide everytime the bags are admired & their story is told !!
May truth and purity; and God-given focus reign in your mind, your good heart, your artistry, your honesty & your desperately important cause. May God grant you the greatest success in raising funds & awareness for Darfur.
Reducing, Reusing, Recycling,
All Ways,
Always !!
(Thank you to the writer of blessings, who spreads life and joy beneath the fragrance of her yard of apples.....)
