Elephants
It was a little touch and go, this Africa Wednesday.
I had planned on using these hand stitched elephants and donkeys that used to sit on my couch in their original purpose as a throw cushion. My sister brought that back from Ethiopia back in the early 90's.
Originally, I cut the pieces to form a large bag. I put it mostly together, and I just did not like the way it looked. I gave myself permission to not post a bag today at all, but last night I looked at it with new eyes and realised that I would like the grouping of animals better on a smaller scale. I cut it apart and made a different bag entirely.
It looks fabulous. Way better than the original idea.

not ah-zakly.
I had a frock that was brown with those marching elephants on it.
Marching elephants on something I wore while pregnant? Was that wise?
Obviously the Africa bags are very, very popular....someone should give us poor folk a chance! (boo hoo) - just kidding - the more money raised, the better....but maybe, just maybe, I may get myself an Africa bag one day! MK
