Rick, Rack, You're Back!

Simon Says: Bring back the rick rack!
Simon Says: And throw in some hand bag!

Today, a messenger bag. Hey! It was all cut out and everything, just laying there forgotten and abandoned on my carpeted floor. Nooooo.... that's not carpet. That would be the minefield that is my creative space.

Anyway, Loretta was feeling neglected, and she ought to have a little spotlight. Not everyone can pull off bell bottomed plaid fortrel with a 24 inch waist like Loretta. (its the interior pockets that I am referring to now, inc ase you have vision issues.

I know its silly, but I start to feel panicky when I can't remember who gave me which piece of fabric. It's not fair, because I don't remember to give my kids their allowances, pack their lunch on time, or make their myriad of appointments without fifteen reminders. Still. that floral piece on the shoulder strap came from...... Wait for it.....Nope. Its gone.

I do remember the other bits: Swirly piece- long long ago find at a yard sale near my mother's; flanked by psychodelic brown, yellow, and orange from our local gift and treasure shop (mcc); bordered by a table cloth from roo that her husband (wise, but none too bright) thought was hideous. Brown delicious body parts: Morris. A wonderful woman with back stage passes who tucks appropriate pieces away in a box for me, delivers said box to her daughter, who delivers to my husband, who delivers to me.

Silly as it is, I've never actually recorded the dimensions of a messenger bag on this blog. Somehow I've gotten away with it up to now. But.... All good things must come to an end.

13.5 by 18.5 inches makes up her slender but robust body. The point is that it should hold a medium laptop, a binder, notebooks, etc in case we have students in our company.

Simon says: Whaddya say? Get on your toes, because its nine weeks until Christmas.
Finalists: Make sure you get vigilant at 8 pm, cst.

Simons says: arrrrr

(why do pirates only know one letter of the alphabet, my 4 year old asked me) Maybe it's because, like me--they bought yesterday's bag and they really like this one too and Christmas is coming--I'm thinking.

Well I'll have to do some more thinking...

ah, Simons. I did think of you yesterday; knowing what today would bring. But I do try not to meddle... quick! Send e-mails to all the people who are wondering what to get you for Christmas!

love you :))

You again!
I love you too. Even if you hide under your blanket in the morning and pretend to be fast asleep....

Aren't you supposed to be interviewing some famous person or other?!

Hi there.

This is my first time bidding, but I check out your blog every day. I need to have this bag as a birthday gift for my dear, granola friend, who could use a little something to lift her spirits (and carry her stuff around).

$65

no worries Joyce...I'm kinda thinking about giving these as gifts as opposed it being for me.

A gift for myself doesn't sound so bad tho!

Handbags sound interesting. Messenger bags, tote bags, hand bags-all great. And still think the whole project is amazing.

Love the new size of bag. I guess I have the supersize model but I'll have to add one of every size you make to my collection.
I didn't even notice the new picture until Schwester Mary commmented on it. Is that a cigarette hangin' out the mouth?! Say it ain't so!
(I'm on a roll now.)

perrygirl- wow- this is awesome how your tongue got unglued. Just to clarify... the bag today is supermodel size as well. I've yet to make the "handbag" size. The intention is in its infancy. So, for now we've got the laptop size, and the other tote bag which has different dimensions. I'll have to get techy and start stating the sizes on whatever I post.

ooooh, Brittney- and sooooooooooo close too.
I've got more brown and orange coming down the pike. I think tomorrow is sort of brown with bits of grey.... not that I'd give it away or anything...
